As a teacher, I am always on the hunt for bargains, closeouts, and freebies that I can use to enhance learning in my classroom. Of course, limiting your search to the clearance rack isn’t always the most fruitful. This is where teacher discounts come in handy. Sometimes you can’t avoid paying retail prices, but you can choose where you shop. See below for my list of favorite stores that offer teacher discounts in 2024.
Member Discounts
If you are shopping online, then the easiest way to save is to use one of the teacher member portals. These allow you to scan discounts and sale events across every shopping category. They will also save you time since they will highlight any special instructions or links teachers need to use.
ID.me Shop
ID.me was created to help retailers confirm discount eligibility for military, teachers, and government employees. By registering with ID.me you can easily prove that you are a teacher when shopping online. In addition to providing verification services, ID.me also has an online portal you can use to shop for the best teacher discounts on the internet. They have also incorporated a cashback program for some offers, but you also get the upfront discounts as expected. ID.me clearly posts discounts and sale events by merchant and category. NEA Discount Marketplace
The NEA Discount Marketplace replaces the old “Click & Save” platform. It features over 3,000 merchants, including travel, electronics, and entertainment. The biggest change is the transition to a cashback program run by Rakuten. Instead of getting coupon codes and discount links, you accumulate cashback rewards in your account. Not everyone will like the new format because it is more of a buy today, save tomorrow process. I prefer an upfront discount, but there is definitely value here if you don’t mind waiting for your rewards.
